Hadith #101
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى
اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِوَدَّانَ قَالَ مَكَانَكُمْ حَتَّى آتِيَكُمْ فَانْطَلَقَ ثُمَّ جَاءَنَا وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَتَيْتُ قَبْرَ أُمِّ مُحَمَّدٍ فَسَأَلْتُ رَبِّي الشَّفَاعَةَ فَمَنَعَنِيهَا وَإِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَكُلُوا وَأَمْسِكُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْأَشْرِبَةِ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ فَاشْرَبُوا فِيمَا بَدَا لَكُمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'I went out with the Prophet ﷺ until we reached Waddan. He said: "Stay where you are until I come back to you." He went away, then came back to us looking distressed and said: "I came to the grave of Muhammad's mother and asked my Lord for intercession, but He refused me that. I had forbidden you from visiting graves — now visit them. I had forbidden you from the meat of sacrificial animals after three days — now eat them and keep what you wish. I had forbidden you from these drinks in these vessels — now drink whatever you wish."'
