حَدَّثَنَا حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ حَدَّثَنِي ثَوَابُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ الْمَهْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْفِطْرِ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ حَتَّى يَأْكُلَ وَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ حَتَّى يَذْبَحَ
English Translation
It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, on the day of Eid al-Fitr, would not go out until he had eaten, and on the day of Eid al-Adha would not eat until he had slaughtered.
