حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى
اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْقَاتِلِ وَالْآمِرِ قَالَ قُسِّمَتْ النَّارُ سَبْعِينَ جُزْءًا فَلِلْآمِرِ تِسْعٌ وَسِتُّونَ وَلِلْقَاتِلِ جُزْءٌ وَحَسْبُهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from a man among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the one who commits the killing and the one who orders it. He said: 'Hell has been divided into seventy portions: sixty-nine portions for the one who orders the killing and one portion for the one who carries it out — and that is sufficient for him.'
