حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي سَلْمٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي صَاحِبٌ لِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَبًّا لِلذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّة
ِ قَالَ فَحَدَّثَنِي صَاحِبِي أَنَّهُ انْطَلَقَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَوْلُكَ تَبًّا لِلذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ مَاذَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِسَانًا ذَاكِرًا وَقَلْبًا شَاكِرًا وَزَوْجَةً تُعِينُ عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ

English Translation
It was narrated from a companion of Abdullah ibn Abi al-Hudhail that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Destruction to gold and silver!' His companion then accompanied Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, your saying destruction to gold and silver — what does it mean?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A tongue that remembers Allah, a grateful heart, and a believing wife who helps in matters of the hereafter.'
