حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِجُنْدُبٍ إِنِّي بَايَعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَلَى أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ أَهْلَ الشَّامِ قَالَ فَلَعَلَّكَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَقُولَ أَفْتَانِي جُنْدُبٌ أَوَأَفْتَانِي جُنْدَبٌ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا أُرِيدُ ذَاكَ إِلَّا لِنَفْسِي قَالَ افْتَدِ بِمَ
الِكَ قُلْتُ إِنَّهُ لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنِّي قَالَ إِنِّي قَدْ كُنْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلَامًا حَزَوَّرًا وَإِنَّ فُلَانًا أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَجِيءُ الْمَقْتُولُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُتَعَلِّقًا بِالْقَاتِلِ فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ سَلْهُ فِيمَ قَتَلَنِي فَيَقُولُ فِي مُلْكِ فُلَانٍ فَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ لَا تَكُونُ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Imran al-Jawni said: 'I have pledged allegiance to Ibn al-Zubayr to fight the people of Syria.' Jundub said: 'Perhaps you want to say that Jundub gave you a fatwa?' He said: 'I only want it for myself.' He said: 'Ransom yourself with your wealth.' He said: 'They will not accept it.' Jundub said: 'I was a strong boy in the time of the Prophet ﷺ, and a certain man informed me...'
