حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأ
َمَرَ بِرَجْمِ رَجُلٍ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ فَرَّ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ فَهَلَّا تَرَكْتُمُوهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from someone who witnessed the Prophet ﷺ order the stoning of a man between Makkah and Madinah. When the stones struck him, he fled. This reached the Prophet ﷺ and he said: 'Why did you not let him go?'
