حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي يَرْبُوعَ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُ يَدُ الْمُعْطِي الْعُلْيَا أُ
مَّكَ وَأَبَاكَ وَأُخْتَكَ وَأَخَاكَ ثُمَّ أَدْنَاكَ أَدْنَاكَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعَ الَّذِينَ أَصَابُوا فُلَانًا قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا لَا تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى أُخْرَى

English Translation
It was narrated from a man from Banu Yarbu' that he came to the Prophet ﷺ and heard him speaking to people saying: 'The upper hand is better — give to your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, then the nearest, then the nearest.' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, these are Banu Tha'labah ibn Yarbu' who harmed so-and-so.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Beware! Do not...'
