Hadith #307
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاشِدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِيطٍ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ عَلَى بَابِ مَسْجِدِهِ مُحْتَبٍ وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ لَهُ قُطْنٌ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ غَيْرُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ ثُمَّ أَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ يَقُولُ التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا
English Translation
It was narrated from a man from Banu Saleet that he passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting at the door of his mosque in a cross-legged position, wearing only a cotton garment, saying: 'A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim — he neither wrongs him nor abandons him.' Then he pointed with his hand to his chest saying: 'Piety is here, piety is here.'
