Hadith #313
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ قَالَ وَقَدْ كَانَتْ صَلَّتْ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
قَالَتْ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِي اخْتَضِبِي تَتْرُكُ إِحْدَاكُنَّ الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ يَدُهَا كَيَدِ الرَّجُلِ قَالَتْ فَمَا تَرَكَتْ الْخِضَابَ حَتَّى لَقِيَتْ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَتَخْتَضِبُ وَإِنَّهَا لَابْنَةُ ثَمَانِينَ

English Translation
It was narrated from a woman of their tribe who had prayed toward both qiblahs with the Prophet ﷺ that she entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said to her: 'Apply henna. Do any of you leave off henna until her hand becomes like a man's hand?' She said: 'She never abandoned henna until she met Allah Almighty.'
