حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرٌ أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ رِبْعِىِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى حُذَيْفَةَ بِالْمَدَائِنِ لَيَالِيَ سَارَ النَّاسُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ يَا رِبْعِيُّ مَا فَعَ
لَ قَوْمُكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ عَنْ أَيِّ بَالِهِمْ تَسْأَلُ قَالَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَسَمَّيْتُ رِجَالًا فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَاسْتَذَلَّ الْإِمَارَةَ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَا وَجْهَ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّهُ أَتَاهُ بِالْمَدَائِنِ فَذَكَرَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated that Rib'i ibn Hirash said: 'I went to Hudhayfa in al-Mada'in during the days when people were marching against Uthman. He said: "O Rib'i, what are your people doing?" I said: "Which aspect of their affairs do you ask about?" He said: "Who among them has gone out against this man?" I named several men who had gone. Then Hudhayfa said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever parts from the community and scorns authority will meet Allah Almighty with no standing before Him."'
