Hadith #377
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَال
َ ذُكِرَ الدَّجَّالُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَأَنَا لَفِتْنَةُ بَعْضِكُمْ أَخْوَفُ عِنْدِي مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ وَلَنْ يَنْجُوَ أَحَدٌ مِمَّا قَبْلَهَا إِلَّا نَجَا مِنْهَا وَمَا صُنِعَتْ فِتْنَةٌ مُنْذُ كَانَتْ الدُّنْيَا صَغِيرَةٌ وَلَا كَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا لِفِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Dajjal was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: 'The trial of some of you among yourselves is more fearful to me than the trial of the Dajjal. None will escape what came before the Dajjal's trial except one who also escapes his trial. No trial, large or small, has ever arisen since the world began, except that it will be as nothing compared to the trial of the Dajjal.'
