English Translation

It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'And I heard him say: "A man from those before you was approached by an angel to take his soul. He was asked: "Have you done any good?" He said: "I do not know." He was told: "Think." He said: "I know of nothing except that I used to trade with people and be lenient with them, giving time to those in difficulty and being easy with those who were well-off." So Allah Almighty admitted him into Paradise."' Uqba ibn Amr said: 'I too heard him say that, and he was a cloth dealer.'
