حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَجْلَحُ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُذَيْفَةَ يَقُولُ ضَرَبَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْثَالًا وَاحِدًا و
َثَلَاثَةً وَخَمْسَةً وَسَبْعَةً وَتِسْعَةً وَأَحَدَ عَشَرَ قَالَ فَضَرَبَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهَا مَثَلًا وَتَرَكَ سَائِرَهَا قَالَ إِنَّ قَوْمًا كَانُوا أَهْلَ ضَعْفٍ وَمَسْكَنَةٍ قَاتَلَهُمْ أَهْلُ تَجَبُّرٍ وَعَدَدٍ فَأَظْهَرَ اللَّهُ أَهْلَ الضَّعْفِ عَلَيْهِمْ فَعَمَدُوا إِلَى عَدُوِّهِمْ فَاسْتَعْمَلُوهُمْ وَسَلَّطُوهُمْ فَأَسْخَطُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us parables — one, three, five, seven, nine, and eleven. He narrated one parable to us from them and left the rest. He said: "There was a weak and impoverished people whom strong and numerous people fought. Allah made the weak victorious over them, so they then put their enemies to work and placed them in authority over them..."' and he described how those who were once oppressed became oppressors.
