حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ غَدَوْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّ
هُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَبِيحَةَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَقَدْ تَغَدَّيْنَا فَقَالَ أَصُمْتُمْ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ قَالَ قُلْنَا قَدْ تَغَدَّيْنَا قَالَ فَأَتِمُّوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abd al-Rahman ibn Salama al-Khuza'i from his uncle that he said: 'We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the morning of Ashura having already had breakfast. He said: "Have you fasted today?" We said: "We have already eaten." He said: "Then complete the rest of your day."'
