Hadith #541

English Translation

It was narrated from Dhi Mikhmar (may Allah be pleased with him), a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, that he said: 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "The Romans will make a secure peace treaty with you, then you will fight them and you will be victorious, safe, and will gain spoils. Then you will return until you camp at a meadow with hillocks. A man from among the Christians will raise a cross and say: The cross has won. A Muslim man will become angry, rise against him, and break it. At that point the Romans will break the treaty..."'
