English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that al-Miswar and Ibn Abbas disagreed — and in one narration: they disputed — about whether a person in the state of ihram may pour water on his head. They sent someone to ask Abu Ayyub: How did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wash his head? He said: Like this — moving from front to back and from back to front, and Sufyan described it.
