حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي بُرَيْدَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ يَقُولُ صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا اقْتَرَبَتْ السَّاعَةُ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَفْرُغَ فَصَ
لَّى وَذَهَبَ فَقَالَ لَهُ مُعَاذٌ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا فَأَتَى الرَّجُلُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاعْتَذَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَعْمَلُ فِي نَخْلٍ فَخِفْتُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلِّ بِالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَنَحْوِهَا مِنْ السُّوَرِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Mu'adh ibn Jabal led his companions in 'Isha prayer and recited in it Surah Iqtarabat al-Sa'ah (al-Qamar). A man left before he finished, completed his prayer on his own, and left. Mu'adh rebuked him harshly. The man came to the Prophet ﷺ and excused himself, saying he had been working in his date-palm orchard and was worried about the water. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Recite with ash-Shams wa Duhaha and similar surahs.'
