حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كُنْ

تُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدَيَّ قَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ فَسَمِعْتُ تَصْفِيقَهَا بِيَدَيْهَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحِجَابِ وَهِيَ تُحَدِّثُ بِذَلِكَ ثُمَّ تُقِيمُ فِينَا حَلَالًا

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the female riders would pass by us while we were in ihram with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When they drew level with us, one of us would lower her outer garment from her head over her face. When they passed, we would uncover our faces.
