حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو أَنَّ بَكْرَ بْنَ سَوَادَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ ر
َجُلًا تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ { مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ } قَالَ إِنَّا لَنُجْزَى بِكُلِّ عَمَلِنَا هَلَكْنَا إِذًا فَبَلَغَ ذَاكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ يُجْزَى بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ فِي الدُّنْيَا فِي مُصِيبَةٍ فِي جَسَدِهِ فِيمَا يُؤْذِيهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man recited the verse: "Whoever does evil will be recompensed for it." He said: 'We are repaid for every deed — then we are doomed.' This reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said: 'Yes, the believers are recompensed for it in this world through afflictions of the body and other things that harm them.'
