It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard the Prophet ﷺ saying in some of his prayers: 'O Allah, bring me to an easy reckoning.' When he turned away, she said: 'O Prophet of Allah, what is the easy reckoning?' He said: 'That He looks at his record and overlooks it. Whoever is examined thoroughly in his reckoning on that day, O Aisha, will perish. And everything that afflicts a believer, Allah expiates it for him, even a thorn that pricks him.'
