حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَي

ْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ مَا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَصُومَ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَالزُّمَرِ

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would fast until we said he would never break the fast, and he would break the fast until we said he would never fast. He used to recite every night Surah Bani Isra'il [al-Isra] and al-Zumar.'
