حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ يَزِي

دَ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ لَمِيسَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَخْلِطُ فِي الْعِشْرِينَ الْأُولَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَوْمٍ وَصَلَاةٍ فَإِذَا دَخَلَتْ الْعَشْرُ جَدَّ وَشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: 'In the first twenty nights [of Ramadan], the Prophet ﷺ would mix sleep and prayer. But when the [last] ten nights arrived, he would strive earnestly and tighten his waist wrapper.'
