Hadith #263
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِ
يٍّ قَالَ كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَدَّانُ فَقِيلَ لَهَا مَا لَكِ وَلِلدَّيْنِ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ نِيَّةٌ فِي أَدَاءِ دَيْنِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَوْنٌ فَأَنَا أَلْتَمِسُ ذَلِكَ الْعَوْنَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to take on debts, and when asked why, she said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There is no servant who intends to repay his debt except that Allah Almighty helps him." So I seek that help.'
