حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قِيلَ لِعَائِشَ

ةَ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رُئِيَ هَذَا الشَّهْرُ لِتِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ قَالَتْ وَمَا يُعْجِبُكُمْ مِنْ ذَاكَ لَمَا صُمْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا صُمْتُ ثَلَاثِينَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was told the month had been sighted with twenty-nine days. She said: 'What surprises you about that? I fasted with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ twenty-nine days more often than I fasted thirty.'
