English Translation

It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ prayed eleven rak'ahs between the late Isha prayer and the break of dawn. He would give the salam after every two rak'ahs and perform witr with one. His prostrations lasted as long as it would take one of you to recite fifty verses. When the muadhdhin fell silent, he would rise, pray two short rak'ahs, then lie down on his right side until the muadhdhin came to announce the prayer.
