حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَدِّثِينِي عَنْ خُلُقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ أَلَسْتَ تَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلَى فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَتْ وَكَا
نَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهَا وَكَانَ إِذَا فَاتَهُ الْقِيَامُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ غَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنَاهُ بِنَوْمٍ أَوْ وَجَعٍ صَلَّى ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مِنْ النَّهَارِ قَالَتْ وَلَمْ يَقُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةً يُتِمُّهَا حَتَّى الصَّبَاحِ وَلَمْ يَقْرَإِ الْقُرْآنَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ يُتِمُّهُ وَلَمْ يَصُمْ شَهْرًا يُتِمُّهُ غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ حَتَّى مَاتَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed any prayer, he would keep it regularly. When he missed his night prayers due to sleep overcoming him or due to illness, he would pray twelve rak'ahs during the day. She also said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never stood in prayer a whole night until morning, nor read the Quran in a single night completely, nor fasted a complete month other than Ramadan until he died."
