Hadith #469
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّا
ئِبِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ يَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ بِيَمِينِهِ لِيَصُبَّ عَلَى شِمَالِهِ فَيَغْسِلُ فَرْجَهُ حَتَّى يُنَقِّيَهُ ثُمَّ يَغْسِلُ يَدَهُ غَسْلًا حَسَنًا ثُمَّ يُمَضْمِضُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَسْتَنْشِقُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَغْسِلُ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمَاءَ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ فَإِذَا خَرَجَ غَسَلَ قَدَمَيْهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to perform the ritual bath after sexual intercourse, he would wash his hands three times, then pour water with his right hand onto his left hand and wash his private part until he cleaned it. He would then wash his hands well, then rinse his mouth three times and sniff water three times, wash his face three times and his forearms three times. Then he would pour water over his head three times, then bathe. When he came out, he would wash his feet."
