حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَن

ْ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْطَى الْوَرِقَ وَأَعْتَقَ وَوَلِيِّ النِّعْمَةِ وَكَانَ زَوْجُهَا حُرًّا فَخُيِّرَتْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Wala belongs to the one who gave the silver coin and emancipated and is the patron of the blessing." Barirah's husband was a free man, and she was given the choice.
