English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet ﷺ led the people in prayer while sitting due to illness. They began to pray standing, so he gestured to them to sit down. When he finished, he said: 'The imam is appointed to be followed. When he bows, bow; when he rises, rise. And if he prays sitting, then pray sitting.'
