حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ جَاءَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص
Body (Matn)
َلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَصُومُ يَعْنِي أَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I used to fast continuously — should I fast while traveling?' He said: 'If you wish, fast; and if you wish, break your fast.'
