حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّه

ُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُعْتَكِفًا وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ قَالَتْ فَغَسَلْتُ رَأْسَهُ وَإِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ لَعَتَبَةُ الْبَابِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in i'tikaf and did not enter the house except for a human need. She washed his head, and between her and him was only the threshold of the door.
