Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ أَسْتَغْف
ِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَهُ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ تَدْعُو بِدُعَاءٍ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَدْعُو بِهِ قَبْلَ الْيَوْمِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي سَأَرَى عَلَمًا فِي أُمَّتِي وَأَنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ الْعَلَمَ أَنْ أُسَبِّحَ بِحَمْدِهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرَهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ { إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا }

English Translation
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "He frequently said: 'Glory be to Allah and I praise Him, and I seek His forgiveness and repent to Him.' I asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, you are making a supplication you never made before.' He said: 'My Lord the Almighty informed me that I would see a sign among my ummah, and when I see that sign I should glorify Him with praise and seek His forgiveness. I have seen it: when comes the victory of Allah and the conquest, and you see people entering the religion of Allah in multitudes.'"
