حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَرَّاحِ مَوْ
لَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ أَنَّهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ كَمَا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) via Umm Habiba, wife of the Prophet ﷺ, that she narrated to him from Zaynab bint Jahsh that she said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Were it not that I feared causing hardship to my community, I would have ordered them to use the toothstick before every prayer, just as they perform ablution.'"
