حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا الْمَرْأَةُ فَإِنَّهَا تُحِدُّ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا لَا تَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا إِلَّا ثَوْبَ عَصْبٍ وَلَا تَكْتَحِلُ وَلَا تَطَّيَّبُ إِلَّا عِنْدَ أَدْنَى طُهْرَتِهَا نُبْذَةً مِنْ قُسْطٍ وَأَظْفَارٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "No mourning is to be observed for a deceased person for more than three days, except for a woman mourning her husband — she mourns for four months and ten days. She shall not wear dyed garments except striped cloth, nor apply kohl, nor use perfume except for a slight amount of qust and adhfar at the very beginning of her purity."
