حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا طَلَّقَهَا الْبَتَّةَ فَخَاصَمَتْهُ فِي السُّكْنَى و
َالنَّفَقَةِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ سُكْنَى وَلَا نَفَقَةً وَقَالَ يَا بِنْتَ آلِ قَيْسٍ إِنَّمَا السُّكْنَى وَالنَّفَقَةُ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ رَجْعَةٌ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Fatima bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) that she brought her matter of maintenance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He did not grant her accommodation or maintenance, and said: "O daughter of the family of Qays, accommodation and maintenance are only for a woman over whom her husband has the right to take back."
