حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ بَايَعْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا فِيمَا أَخَذَ أَنْ لَا نَنُوحَ فَقَالَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ إِنَّ آلَ فُلَانٍ أَسْعَدُونِي فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفِيهِمْ مَأ
ْتَمٌ فَلَا أُبَايِعُكَ حَتَّى أُسْعِدَهُمْ كَمَا أَسْعَدُونِي فَقَالَ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَافَقَهَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَذَهَبَتْ فَأَسْعَدَتْهُمْ ثُمَّ رَجَعَتْ فَبَايَعَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ فَمَا وَفَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَّا غَيْرُ تِلْكَ وَغَيْرُ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ بِنْتِ مِلْحَانَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "I said: 'I will not give you the pledge of allegiance until I go and help her as she helped me.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ agreed to that, and I went and helped her, then returned and gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ." Umm Atiyyah said: "None of us fulfilled it except that woman and Umm Sulaym bint Milhan."
