حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ وحَبِيبٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ أَنَّ ر
َسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ فِيمَا أَخَذَ أَنْ لَا يَنُحْنَ فَقَالَتْ امْرَأَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ امْرَأَةً أَسْعَدَتْنِي أَفَلَا أُسْعِدُهَا فَقَبَضَتْ يَدَهَا وَقَبَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ فَلَمْ يُبَايِعْهَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a pledge from the women, among which was that they would not wail. A woman said: 'O Messenger of Allah, a woman helped me in mourning — shall I not help her?' The Prophet ﷺ withdrew his hand and did not accept her pledge."
