English Translation

It was narrated that Abu `Ubaid, the freed slave of ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Awf, said: Then I was present with ‘Ali. He prayed before delivering the khutbah, with no adhan or iqamah, then he delivered the khutbah. He said: O people, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade eating from your sacrificial animals after three days, so do not eat from them after today.
