حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْجُعَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهَا أَنَّ عَلِيًّا خَرَجَ مَ
عَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى جَاءَ ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ وَعَلِيٌّ يَبْكِي يَقُولُ تُخَلِّفُنِي مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ فَقَالَ أَوَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى إِلَّا النُّبُوَّةَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ali (رضي الله عنه) went out with the Prophet ﷺ until he reached Thaniyyat al-Wada'. Ali was weeping, saying: 'You leave me behind with the women and children?' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Are you not content that you are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there will be no prophet after me?'
