Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الرُّقَيْمِ الْكِنَانِيِّ قَالَ
خَرَجْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ زَمَنَ الْجَمَلِ فَلَقِيَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ بِهَا فَقَالَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَدِّ الْأَبْوَابِ الشَّارِعَةِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَتَرْكِ بَابِ عَلِيٍّ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abdullah ibn ar-Ruqaym al-Kinani who (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that we went out to Madinah during the time of the Battle of the Camel, and Sa'd ibn Malik met us there. He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that all the doors [opening into the mosque] be closed except the door of Ali.'
