حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَ
بِيهِ قَالَ ذُكِرَ الطَّاعُونُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رِجْزٌ أُصِيبَ بِهِ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا وَإِذَا كَانَ بِهَا وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ used to say: 'My ummah will not be too insignificant before their Lord for Him to delay them half a day.' I asked Rashid: 'Have you heard what half a day means?' He said: 'Five hundred years.'
