حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُرَاقَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيٌّ بَعْدَ نُوحٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَ الدَّجَّالَ
قَوْمَهُ وَإِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ قَالَ فَوَصَفَهُ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَلَعَلَّهُ يُدْرِكُهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ رَآنِي أَوْ سَمِعَ كَلَامِي قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ قُلُوبُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ أَمِثْلُهَا الْيَوْمَ قَالَ أَوْ خَيْرٌ

English Translation
'Affan and 'Abd al-Samad said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Khalid al-Hadhdha' informed us, from 'Abdullah ibn Shaqiq, from 'Abdullah ibn Suraqah, from Abu 'Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'There has been no prophet after Nuh (عليه السلام) except that he warned his people about the Dajjal, and I am warning you about him.' He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ described him for us, then said: 'Perhaps some of those who have seen me or heard my words will encounter him.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how will our hearts be on that day? Like they are today?' He said: 'Or better.'
