حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ قَالَا أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي هِشَامٍ قَالَ عَبَّادٌ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ ابْنَةِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِيهَا الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَا مُسْلِمَةٍ يُصَابُ بِمُصِيبَةٍ فَيَذْكُرُهَا وَإِنْ طَالَ عَهْدُهَا قَالَ عَبَّادٌ قَدُمَ عَهْدُهَا فَيُحْدِثُ لِذَلِكَ اسْتِرْجَاعًا
إِلَّا جَدَّدَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأَعْطَاهُ مِثْلَ أَجْرِهَا يَوْمَ أُصِيبَ بِهَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَوْرَاءِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ عَلَّمَنِي جَدِّي أَوْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَلِمَاتٍ أَقُولُهُنَّ فِي الْوَتْرِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

English Translation
Yazid and 'Abbad ibn 'Abbad (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that hisham ibn Abi Hisham informed us. 'Abbad said: Ibn Ziyad, from his mother, from Fatimah bint al-Husayn, from her father al-Husayn ibn 'Ali (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'No Muslim man or woman is afflicted with a calamity, and then remembers it even after a long time has passed,' 'Abbad said: 'even after its time has grown old,' 'and renews the saying of inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un for it, except that Allah renews the reward for him at that moment and grants him the like of its reward on the day he was first afflicted.' [Second chain:] Yazid narrated to us, Sharik ibn 'Abdullah informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Burayd ibn Abi Maryam, from Abu al-Hawra', from al-Husayn ibn 'Ali, who said: My grandfather, or he said the Prophet ﷺ, taught me words to say in the Witr prayer; and he mentioned the hadith.
