English Translation

Hammad ibn Khalid narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Ulathah narrated to us, from Maslamah al-Juhani, he said: I heard him narrating from al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه), who said: "I went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, and a gazelle startled and leapt to one side. I held onto him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, have you taken it as a bad omen?' He said: 'Evil omens are only what makes you proceed or turns you back.'"
