حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ بِثَمَانِي عَشْرَةَ بَدَنَةً
مَعَ رَجُلٍ فَأَمَرَهُ فِيهَا بِأَمْرِهِ فَانْطَلَقَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَزْحَفَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ انْحَرْهَا ثُمَّ اصْبُغْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا ثُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا عَلَى صَفْحَتِهَا وَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا أَنْتَ وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ مِنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, Abu al-Tayyah informed us, from Musa ibn Salamah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent eighteen sacrificial camels with a man and gave him instructions regarding them. The man set out, then returned to him and said: "What if some of them become too exhausted to continue?" He said: "Slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood and mark their sides with it. And do not eat from them, neither you nor anyone from your traveling party." Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah did not hear from Abu al-Tayyah except this hadith.
