English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from Ayyub, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas: "I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed before the sermon on Eid. Then he gave the sermon and saw that the women had not heard, so he went to them, reminded them, admonished them, and commanded them to give charity. The women began throwing their earrings, rings, and other things."
