English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Amr, from Sa'id ibn al-Huwayrith, who heard Ibn 'Abbas say: "We were with the Prophet ﷺ and he went to relieve himself. Then he came out and called for food" — and he said on one occasion: food was brought to him — "and it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, will you not perform wudu'?' He said: 'I am not going to pray, so why should I perform wudu'?'"
