Hadith #409
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ قَابُوسَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ ثُمَّ أُمِرَ بِالْهِجْرَةِ وَأُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ { وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَانًا نَصِيرًا }
English Translation
Jarir narrated from Qabus, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in Makkah, then he was commanded to emigrate, and it was revealed to him: {And say: My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and cause me to exit a sound exit, and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority} [17:80].
