English Translation
Isma'il narrated from Ayyub, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: I bear witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed before the sermon (on Eid), then delivered the sermon. Seeing that he had not made the women hear, he went to them with Bilal spreading his garment (to collect charity). He admonished them and commanded them to give charity. The women began throwing (their jewelry) — Ayyub pointed to his ear and his throat — as if meaning earrings and necklaces.
