حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا اقْتَبَسَ رَجُلٌ عِلْمًا مِنْ النُّجُومِ إِلَّا اقْتَبَسَ بِهَا شُعْبَةً مِنْ السِّحْرِ مَا زَادَ زَادَ

English Translation
Yahya narrated from 'Ubaydullah ibn al-Akhnas, al-Walid ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, from Yusuf ibn Mahak, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'No man acquires knowledge from astrology except that he acquires a branch of sorcery; the more he increases (in astrology), the more he increases (in sorcery).'
